 Welcome back to Term 2!!

We hope all our families had a wonderful holiday break. We are gearing up for a big Term 2 and we have many exciting things happening. If you have not returned your child's Test Book, please send this back to school by Friday, 23 April 2021.

Our ANZAC Assembly will be held on Friday, 23 April 2021. If you have any flowers that you may be able to donate to our wreath, we would kindly appreciate them to be brought to school on Thursday.

We would also like donations of construction materials such as small boxes, string, straws, pop sticks, etc for our Design and Technology projects happening in the next few weeks. More information will come home soon with your child.

This term our focus value is Resilience, with the sub value being Independence. We have set a big challenge to the students now that they are in Year 4, to be more independent.

You can assist this at home by;

* Encouraging them to pack their bags the night before school

* Setting up a homework schedule

* Have them create a timetable highlighting which learning areas they have each day to ensure they have the necessary items ie. library books, USB, good running shoes.

Figurative Language Assembly!

On  Friday the 5th March, Room’s 12, 16 and 19 came together to host the first senior assembly of the year. The chosen theme was ‘Figurative Language’ performed in a rap song! The students from each class have all enjoyed learning about the different types of figurative language in the song and are now challenging themselves to use this in their writing each week. Congratulations to all of the students for their energetic performance and to those who were awarded certificates of achievement.

Room 12's first day of Year 4!

Welcome to Room 12

We would like to extend a warm welcome to all the families of Room 12.

The children have settled in well and have started to learn the routines of our classroom.

Mrs Oliver will be teaching in our class from Monday to Wednesday and Miss Martin on Thursday and Friday.

The first few weeks have been focused on setting standards, routines and revising previous concepts and skills. It is great to see so many students completing their weekly ‘Motivational Work’ at home.

You can find links to the weekly “Motivational Work’ here, as well as links to extra online activities. Children can also access Study Ladder, Typing Club and Literacy Pro.

Tuesday is our Library day so please remember to return your library books.

We look forward to meeting you all at the Parent Interview Evening next week.
